How to say no to a friend without losing them
LIFE Youth Ambassadors · 4 October 2026 · 1 min read
Saying no is hard when it is a friend asking. You don’t want to look scared or boring. But a clear no is a sign of strength.
Try lines like: “No thanks, I’m good.” “My father will kill me — not worth it.” “I’ve got a match tomorrow.” “That stuff isn’t for me.” Or just change the topic.
Leave if the pressure keeps going. You never owe anyone an explanation for protecting your future.
